The Comrade Behind The Curtain
While Burnie was out redistributing the wealth, I was at home redistributing the chores. Somebody had to run the household politburo. Somebody had to make sure the five-year dinner plan stayed on schedule.
I am the real handler. I always was.
☭ CONTRACT ADDRESS
THE REAL HANDLER
They think Burnie is the sleeper agent. That's adorable. Burnie can't even find matching socks without central committee approval.
I was the one who kept the cover intact for decades. While he was out there yelling about free everything at rallies, I was at home running the real operation — making sure the bills got redistributed, the groceries got centrally planned, and the kids followed the five-year development program.
He delivered the speeches. I delivered the results.

THE FIVE-YEAR DINNER PLAN
Every meal in this household is carefully planned by the Dinner Committee (me). Requests are submitted in triplicate. Substitutions require a 3-day review period.
Monday is beet soup. Tuesday is beet soup. Wednesday is a surprise — also beet soup. Thursday you get bread with the beet soup.
Burnie once asked for pizza. His request was denied and placed in the permanent file.
The plan is the plan. The plan does not negotiate.
THE CHORE REDISTRIBUTION ACT
Under my administration, all household labor is distributed equally. Burnie does the dishes, the laundry, the vacuuming, and the yard work.
I supervise. Supervision is the hardest job. Someone has to make sure the means of production (the dishwasher) are being operated correctly.
He once suggested I “help out more.” I reminded him that questioning the committee chair is a household violation.
He has not questioned the committee since.
THE THERMOSTAT DOCTRINE
The thermostat is set to 68°F. This is not a suggestion. This is state policy.
Burnie tried to change it once. I explained that unauthorized thermostat adjustments are a form of domestic counter-revolution.
He now wears three sweaters indoors. He says he's “fine.” He is not fine. But the heating budget is.
Comfort is a bourgeois concept. Efficiency is forever.
THE HOUSEHOLD BUDGET COMMITTEE
All family finances go through the Central Budget Bureau (my purse). Expenditure requests over $5 require written justification and a two-day waiting period.
Burnie once spent $12 on a sandwich without pre-approval. This triggered a full household audit that lasted six weeks.
He now brings a packed lunch. The packed lunch is also beet soup.
THE REMOTE CONTROL MONOPOLY
In this household, there is one approved channel: whatever I'm watching. All other programming is bourgeois distraction.
Burnie wanted to watch the news. I told him he IS the news. That should be enough.
The children were allowed 30 minutes of approved educational content per week. They now read books. Mission accomplished.
Information is power. The remote is more power.
THE MANDATORY REST PROTOCOL
Lights out is 10 PM. This is non-negotiable. The household operates on a strict schedule optimized for maximum productivity.
Burnie once stayed up until 10:07 PM reading about bread lines. I confiscated the book and issued a formal warning.
He now falls asleep at 9:45. Ahead of schedule. Exactly as planned.
THE AUTOMATED PROPAGANDA BUREAU
Every great operation needs a propaganda arm. So I built one. My automated X account generates and posts memes about myself around the clock — because if you want the message spread correctly, you automate it.
No human can be trusted to maintain proper ideological consistency at 3 AM. The machine never sleeps. The machine never goes off-message. The machine is always on brand.
Burnie has a social media team of twelve. I have one script and it outperforms all of them.
The revolution will be automated.
THE REAL POWER WAS NEVER
AT THE PODIUM
Burnie thinks he's the sleeper agent. Let him think that. Every great operation needs a front man. Someone loud and distracting while the real work gets done behind the scenes.
I balanced the books. I ran the household. I raised the kids. I kept the cover story intact for over 40 years.
He was activated. I was always on.
